Kaan Buyukkopru 

Kaan didn't find spirits in a bar or a classroom. He found them across borders.

He first trained as a Geomatics Engineer in Istanbul, but it was years of living and working across the Philippines, Spain, and the Dominican Republic that changed everything. Every country had its own drink, its own ritual, its own way of telling a story through a glass. That curiosity became a calling.

He went deep. WSET Level 3 in Spirits. All three levels of the Agave Spirits Institute's Mezcal Advisor program in Mexico. Diploma studies at the Edinburgh Whisky Academy and hands-on Spirits Education in Scotland, Cuba, the UK, and France.

Today, he serves as Regional Brand Training Executive at Pernod Ricard Middle East, leading advocacy across the Gulf, Mediterranean, and South Asian markets.

But the credentials were never the point. The point was always to understand not just what's in the glass, but why it exists, where it comes from, and what it says about the people who made it.
