Tel Aviv's Authentic Bars

Tel Aviv's nightlife is nothing short of spectacular. With a plethora of bars offering unique experiences, it can be hard to choose where to start. Here are my personal observations from five of the best spots in the city: Imperial Craft Cocktail Bar, Bellboy, Speakeasy, Port Said, and Imperial Red.

Imperial Craft Cocktail Bar

Stepping into the Imperial Craft Cocktail Bar is like entering a different world. Tucked away in the Imperial Hotel, this bar is known for its sophisticated yet cozy ambiance. The bartenders here are true artisans, creating cocktails that are both visually stunning and delightfully flavorful.

I started with their famous "Bloody Mary," which was a perfect balance of spices and flavors. The intimate setting, with its dim lighting and plush seating, made me feel like I was in an old-time speakeasy. Every drink I tried was a masterpiece, and the staff's passion for mixology was evident in every sip. This bar is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience the art of cocktail making.

Bellboy

Bellboy offers a unique, vintage-inspired experience that transports you back in time. Located in the B Berdichevsky Hotel, the bar’s interior is a blend of old-world charm and modern flair. The attention to detail is incredible, from the antique décor to the retro uniforms worn by the staff.

The cocktail menu is just as impressive. I tried the "Luna Park," a whimsical concoction served in a small carousel. The presentation was as delightful as the taste. The bar's playful atmosphere, combined with its innovative drinks, makes it a perfect spot for a fun and memorable night out. Bellboy is more than just a bar; it's an experience.

Speakeasy

Speakeasy, situated on the bustling Rothschild Boulevard, offers a relaxed yet vibrant rooftop bar experience. The views of Tel Aviv's skyline are breathtaking, making it a fantastic spot to unwind after a long day.

The drink menu features a variety of classic and creative cocktails. I opted for the "Rothschild Mule," a refreshing twist on the traditional Moscow Mule. The bar’s ambiance is laid-back, with comfortable seating and a friendly crowd. The mix of good music, great drinks, and stunning views make Speakeasy a favorite among locals and tourists alike.

Port Said

Port Said, located near the Great Synagogue, is a bustling spot known for its eclectic vibe and fantastic food. The bar is always packed, and the energy is contagious. The outdoor seating area is perfect for people-watching and enjoying the lively atmosphere.

The drink menu is straightforward but well-curated. I enjoyed a cold beer while savoring some of their delicious Middle Eastern-inspired dishes. The combination of great music, tasty food, and a relaxed vibe makes Port Said a perfect spot for a casual yet exciting night out. It's a place where you can let loose and enjoy the true spirit of Tel Aviv.

Imperial Red

Imperial Red, the sister bar to Imperial Craft Cocktail Bar, focuses on red-themed cocktails and an elegant setting. The bar's interior is chic, with a warm color palette that creates an inviting atmosphere.

I started with the "Red Dragon," a vibrant cocktail with a perfect blend of fruity and spicy notes. The bartenders here are skilled in creating unique flavor profiles that surprise and delight. The sophisticated ambiance, combined with the exceptional drinks, makes Imperial Red an excellent choice for a refined evening out.
