Where we like to drink in Dubai

Galaxy Bar

Walking into Galaxy Bar is like finding a hidden treasure in Dubai's DIFC district. This small, cozy bar used to be a storage room for a nearby restaurant but was transformed into a beautiful lounge by Natasha Sideris in 2019. The bar combines Greek culture with the feel of a starry night in Athens.

As I sat on the soft velvet seats, I admired the shiny marble bar, which made the place feel rich and elegant. The dark blue and gold colors everywhere added to the calm yet fancy vibe. Above me, a ceiling full of twinkling stars created a magical atmosphere.

The service at Galaxy Bar is excellent. Krystian Hordejuk runs the floor smoothly, and Coralie Doillet makes amazing cocktails. Every drink I had was special, showing a mix of creativity and skill. Whether I started my night with a beautifully made drink or ended it with a smooth nightcap, the experience was always unforgettable.

Galaxy Bar has been on The World’s 50 Best Bars list for three years in a row, and it's easy to see why. Its unique charm and fantastic drinks make it one of the most popular late-night spots in Dubai. If you are ever in DIFC, visit Galaxy Bar and enjoy its magical atmosphere.

Mimi Kakushi

Located in the Four Seasons Resort on Jumeirah Beach Road, Mimi Kakushi is a place that takes you back to 1920s Osaka. Opened in 2021 and led by Manja Stankovic, this bar has quickly become a favorite spot for people who enjoy good food and drinks in Dubai.

The bar is inspired by Mimi Kakushi's modern Japanese menu, which adds fun twists to traditional flavors. Stankovic has created a unique cocktail menu using top-quality Japanese ingredients. One of the coolest things about this place is the ice-encased cocktails. Guests get an ice pick to chip their drink out of the ice, making it a fun and memorable experience.

In just over two years, Mimi Kakushi's innovative bar program has set new standards in the UAE. This year, it made the 50 Best Bars list for the first time and was named The Best Bar in the Middle East and Africa for 2023. If you're in Dubai, Mimi Kakushi is a must-visit for a taste of modern Japanese culture and creative cocktails.
